FAQ's
Here, you'll find to some of the most common questions I receive. My goal is to provide you with clear and helpful information to enhance your experience. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out!
How can I schedule an appointment?
You can easily book online anytime.
If you'd prefer, you're always welcome to call or text (910)-227-9363, and I'll be happy to help you find a time that works best. A credit, debit card, or online payment is required to reserve your appointment.
Do you take walk-ins or same-day appointments?
If there is an opening online day of, you are welcome to book! However, at this time walk-ins are not available as this is a mobile practice. I always recommend scheduling ahead when possible, especially if you're hoping for a specific day or time.
Where do you travel?
I bring the massage to you! I travel to clients' homes, hotels, Airbnbs, offices, and events. My services are available within a 25-mile radius at no additional travel charge. If you're outside that area, feel free to reach out and we can see what's possible.
What should I have ready for my appointment?
No need to stress, I bring everything needed for your session, including my table, linens, and supplies. Just have a space roughly 6x8 feet available, ideally a quiet room where you can fully relax. I'll take care of the rest!
What happens if I'm running late?
I completely understand that life happens, but please do your best to be ready at your scheduled start time so you can enjoy your full session.
If you're running late, your session may need to be shortened to respect any clients scheduled after you. Full payment is still expected for the original time reserved.
If you need to reschedule or cancel, you can do so through your online account or by calling/texting me directly. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance may be charged, as that time was set aside especially for you.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept cash, card, PayPal, Venmo, CashApp, and Urth Bodyworks gift cards.
One day per month we are fully donation based — keep an eye on our socials and sign up for our newsletter to stay in the loop!
Do you accept insurance or FSA/HSA payments?
I do not bill insurance directly. However, many clients successfully use Flexible Spending (FSA) or Health Savings (HSA) accounts to cover massage therapy, especially when recommended by a healthcare provider.
I'm happy to provide itemized receipts or session summaries for reimbursement or year-end reporting.
What should I wear during my massage?
Your comfort always comes first. You're welcome to undress to your level of comfort - some clients keep undergarments on, while others prefer to fully disrobe.
For table massage, many clients choose to undress completely so the work can flow smoothly across the back, hips, and shoulders.
You'll always be properly draped, only the area being worked on will be uncovered, and your privacy is fully respected at all times.
The pressure isn't deep enough, but I don't want to interrupt — what should I do?
Please speak up anytime! Communication is key to getting the most out of your session. Whether you need more or less pressure, a different temperature, or a focus on another area, just let me know.
Massage doesn't have to hurt to be effective. In fact, many of the most powerful techniques rely on gentle, precise work that encourages your muscles to release rather than resist.
What if I can't relax during my massage?
It's completely normal to have a hard time relaxing, especially if your mind is busy or your body holds a lot of tension. Relaxation isn't something you have to force, it often happens gradually as your nervous system realizes it's safe to let go.
If you notice your thoughts racing or your muscles staying tight, try bringing attention to your breath. Slow, conscious breathing signals the body that it's safe to release, helping muscles soften and allowing the work to go deeper with less effort.
You can also let me know if you're feeling restless or anxious. Together, we can adjust your session with slower pacing, quieter pressure, or grounding touch to help you sink into comfort at your own pace.
When isn't massage appropriate?
Massage is safe and beneficial for most people, but there are times when we may need to adjust or postpone your session.
Please let me know if you're experiencing:
-
A recent injury, accident, sprain, or muscle strain
-
Swelling, infection, or acute inflammation
-
Uncontrolled high blood pressure, diabetes, or osteoporosis
-
Any skin irritation or contagious condition
Your health and safety are always my top priority. In certain situations, I may request your physician's approval before proceeding, or adjust techniques to keep your session safe and effective.
Be sure to complete your health history form fully and update me if anything changes between visits — it helps me create the most therapeutic experience for you.
